African Union Commission and the Open Society Foundations ...

Monday, 08 October 2012 Staff Author | Published in: World News ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, October 8, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- This panel of health and drug control officials from Tanzania will share the country's recent experience strengthening health services, including medication-assisted treatment, for people with drug dependencies and in the evolution of a policy framework and police practices that enable drug users to benefit from health services. Panelists will describe the policy and program-level decision-making and the various actors who enabled these changes to come about and will discuss lessons from this experience.
