Kansas House vote on abortion insurance measure | The Associated ...

The 86-30 vote early Friday by which the Kansas House approved a bill restricting private health insurance coverage for abortions.

The measure also included other insurance regulatory changes.

Of the 91 Republicans, 75 voted "yes," 10 voted "no" and six did not vote. One GOP seat is vacant because of the recent death of Rep. Rocky Fund, of Hoyt.

Of the 33 Democrats, 11 voted "yes," 20 voted "no" and two did not vote.
