I don?t know if there are statistics or facts to back it up this type of boomer dating, but there seems to be a notion that as a guy gets older, he sets his sights on a younger companion. I see it from time to time but usually I see more couples around the same age. I don?t know if these are long term relationships or even if they are dating. I usually don?t ask. Personally, I have always preferred a woman older than myself. I value knowledge and experience and I love having conversations with someone who can provide those.

I think there are a couple of reasons that some guys go for the younger ladies. Mainly, I think it makes them feel young. Some guys just want to feel like they still have ?it.? There could be a more superficial reasoning behind it but those kind of relationships are destined for failure. Being able to draw on that hard-won inner strength in a relationship makes them rock-solid partners in every way.

Anyone can be there when the times are good, but only a fighter will stick it out by your side. Also, this fits right along with my love of knowledge and experience.
