Kenworth-Cummins Westport ISX12 G

Kenworth Truck Co. is expanding its extensive line of industry-leading green products by offering the Cummins Westport ISX12 G heavy duty natural gas engine for use in regional haul, vocational and refuse markets. This new engine requires a single fuel source and can run on either compressed (CNG) or liquefied (LNG) natural gas. The ISX12 G will be available with the Kenworth T660, Kenworth T800, Kenworth T800 short hood, and the Kenworth W900S. The ISX12 G will come with a range of ratings to 400 hp and 1,450 ft-lbs. of torque, optional engine brake and manual and automatic transmission capability to meet customer needs.
Day 50 ? Wal-Mart

"La Dispensa Familiar" is a Wal-Mart owned grocery store chain that has stores all across El Salvador. They have lots of variety, and sell everything cheaply. Today I bought three bars of soap, a stick of deodorant, and a loaf of bread for .13.
While it is wonderful to be able to get everything in one place, it is unfortunate to see how they put smaller, family-run stores out of business. Luckily, in a country like El Salvador, there are still so many homemade items which are considered staples (like tortillas and other corn products), that Wal-Mart will never be able to put everybody out of business.
Another bit of Wal-Mart/El Salvador news: a popular fast-food restaurant here, Pollo Campero (originally from Guatemala) recently signed a contract with Wal-Mart, and will be building restaurants inside of Wal-Mart stores throughout the US.
