I think joining a craft party is a great way to unwind on Friday after a work week, how about you? It?s so easy to get lost in cutting, gluing, painting, wrapping, stitching and more and before you know it, any stress has just melted away.
I?m sure we?ll see you all at the Etsy Craft Party tonight, being held at made : The Indie Emporium Shop downtown. Not only will it be a fun time, to craft, visit, meet new friends, but it?s the perfect time of year to get in the spirit of the upcoming craft season. The holiday craft shows are getting ready to start and before you know it, it?ll be Christmas! (Mr. Crowe, how many days?)
The theme this year is ?Wish You Were Here? meaning to evoke feelings, memories, art and of course crafts of your hometown. I think it?s great to take some time every once in awhile to reflect on home, the family, friends and culture that helped form you. We all live in culturally rich places and this reminds us to be in tune with them.
Here?s some inspiration to get the excitement going. I?m sure after coming to the Etsy Craft Party, you?ll want to host your own soon for friends. Let?s start with a crafty invite:

It might even be fun to have your craft party at a central location. I think sewing studios and coffee shops would be great.
