WSC is The Only Healthcare Corporate in India which functions differently from the ART clinics because unlike the latter, we work on the US model, whereby, rather than carrying out IVF at our own centre, we offer the IPs the option of getting the IVF done at any of the world class ART clinics which are on our panel. We at WSC provides end to end surrogacy solutions under 1 roof, including country specific legal procedures, surrogate selection & maintenance, donor selection, gamete banking as well as exit visa formalities.
Moreover, as per the ART Bill 2010 ,ref ART Bill 2010 - Chapter V; Clause 26; Para (1)(2 ), an ART/IVF centre should not provide any direct surrogacy services to the IPs & should not engage itself in any direct commercial engagements with the latter. All this should be done through a specialised surrogacy agency/ ART bank. Thus WSC acts as the ART Bank. This not only reduces the chances of clinical compromise but also removes any conflict of commercial & clinical interests, thereby, providing transparency, accountability & professionalism to the entire process.
We at WSC are also different from other agencies because unlike the latter, we do not have tie up with 1 particular ART clinic, but we have all top notch ART clinics on our panel, thereby providing options to the IPs with regards to package options, costs & protocols adopted at different centres. Moreover, at all these centres, we offer multiple attempts to IPs for better success rates. In addition to this , we are only agency/ consultancy which houses the surrogates in our own surrogate homes for better monitoring, upkeep & emergency handling.
WSC has pioneered towards organising the Surrogacy sector in India & made it medically, legally, socially & ethically accountable through its Pioneering Surrogacy Protocols (PSPs), which include the following:
1 Creating Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs) for screening, recruiting, monitoring, compensating & housing the surrogate mothers through a specialised Quartet Operating System.
2 Giving multiple options to IPs (Intended Parents) from amongst the top notch IVF centres across India.
3 Giving multiple options of Customized, Economical packages which include multiple IVF-ET attempts.
4 Providing comprehensive End to End Surrogacy Solutions - Surrogacy , IVF, Delivery, Legalities & Exit visas.
We are Experts at handling all challenges that might arise during the process of surrogacy. Our company's One & Only motto is to make the surrogacy journey pleasurable a]nd fruitful for YOU !
The 3 main features of WSC are:

MIAMI?(CBSMiami)?? If your shower door is made of glass, you may suffer injuries, a tedious clean-up and thousands of dollars down the drain.
Dorothy Malinski?s shower door suddenly exploded while her mother was bathing.
?I heard this big bang, this big boom,? said Malinski.? ?I couldn?t enter all the way because there?s glass all over the counter,?in the sink, on the floor.?
Her mother was cut on her hands and face.
Even though tempered-glass shower doors are supposed to break into small pieces ? to prevent injuries from larger, sharper pieces of glass ? they can break in bigger shards.
That is what happened to Larry Kucharik,?who was injured while cleaning up the shattered glass from his shower door.
?I just tapped the top of it and a chunk of it came down and hit my ankle,? said Kucharik, whose ankle is still scarred. ?It started bleeding, and there was a lot of blood all over the floor.?
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports more than 60 complaints of shower doors shattering for no reason ? just suddenly exploding, causing lacerations and bleeding.?People reported needing stitches and even surgery.
Mark Meshulam, a glass and window consultant, reviewed the reports.
?These are the types of injuries and situations that I would expect to see when something goes wrong with shower doors,? he says.
He says a microscopic imperfection during the manufacturing process can grow and migrate, weakening the glass until it suddenly shatters.?It can even shatter without it being touched.
?I would say treat the doors gingerly,? Meshulam warns. ?Do not bang them.?Don?t allow children to hang on the towel bars.?
He also says look for chips near brackets, the towel bar and along the edges. Also, make sure the door only moves the way it is supposed to and is not loose on the track or hinges.
In Larry Kucharik?s case, the manufacturer replaced his shower door at no cost.
This has also been a problem at hotels.?Meshulam says one reportedly had 50 doors shatter. He would like to see protective film on shower doors to catch breaking glass.
This is a tempered glass problem, so it involves various door manufacturers and the ages of glass.?If this happens to you, call the?Consumer Product Safety Commission?and the door manufacturer.

You're only scratching the surface of photography when you're simply snapping photos. This weekend, learn to paint with light, create amazing star trails, and alter space and time as we know it.
Note: For those of you with Canon point-and-shoot cameras, consider installing CHDK to add extra features. Doing so will allow you to accomplish the techniques described in this post much more easily. DSLR owners, on the other hand, are good to go, but some can still add a few awesome features with Magic Lantern.
Time-lapse photography offers some pretty amazing opportunities. For starters, star trails?achieved by a long exposure of the night sky?make for beautiful images every time. For the most part, it simply takes patience. (Check out this guide for full instructions.)
Of course, you can do plenty more by playing with time. Long exposures create all sorts of effects beyond capturing the stars in a unique light. You can experiment with longer exposures when moving the camera or keeping it still. If you're capturing images when there's plenty of light, be sure to lower your ISO/film speed and stop down your lens' aperture to a higher f-stop (e.g. f/22). This will allow less light to hit the sensor so a longer exposure won't overexposure your photo as quickly.
You don't have to stop at photos, either. Time lapse videos?the process of taking a photo at set intervals and combining them all into one motion sequence?are extremely compelling. While we haven't tackled the subject in-depth, Photojojo created a great guide. All you really need is an intervalometer, your camera, and some time, but getting everything set up just right takes a little work. Canon camera owners can use custom firmware CHDK or Magic Lantern to make the creation of these time lapse videos even easier.
Lightpainting is similar to time lapse photography, in that it utilizes long exposures to create special effects with light. That said, lightpainting involves you creating the special light patterns with glow sticks, flashlights, or any other source. As you can see with the picture to the right, these man-made effects can be pretty stunning. To learn more, read this post. It contains a helpful video that explains the entire process. If your camera can handle long exposures, you can go out and do this any night with a friend. It's really fun!
Bokeh?the out-of-focus area of your photos?generally looks like a bunch of basic shapes. Some lenses offer nice smooth circles while others create harsher, angled shapes. If you create your own bokeh, you can make any shape you want (like the hearts in the images to the right). Just take some paper, cut out a shape, and strap it to your lens. With that simple trick, you'll make some really cool, out-of-focus images.
Sometimes you've got a great location and a great subject, but they're not in the same place. With photo editing software, that's no problem. All you need to do is shoot your subject on a green screen and transplant them anywhere you like. Building your own green screen is actually really cheap and easy. (I made one several years ago over the weekend and made a lot of fun things with it.) If that's too much work, your computer monitor (or any screen, really), can do the trick for smaller objects.
I'm not a big fan of 3D. That said, the gimmick can be fun when you're making your own images and don't need any special equipment to view them. While imperfect, this easy trick can offer the illusion of a 3D photograph by simply alternating between two frames at a high speed. It's no amazing feat, but it's a pretty cool trick that anybody can see.
What is a photosynth? It's like a panoramic photo, but in all directions. Microsoft created the concept and software to help you make them. Essentially, you take your camera and go somewhere, then snap tons of pictures in every direction. After that, all you really have to do is upload them with Microsoft's photosynth tool and you can navigate through 3D-like space. It's a neat way to experience a place that offers more depth than a traditional still image. For a full walkthrough on how to do this (with video!), check out our guide.
Have an awesome weekend everybody! Share any cool photos you take in the discussions below!

Food ? Big brands says their mid-calorie goodies cut down on what?s bad for you.
New York ? Nonfat cheese that tastes like plastic. Low-calorie soda that leaves a bitter aftertaste. Sugar-free brownies that crumble like Styrofoam.
Dieters have learned an important lesson. When you take the fat and calories out of your favorite treats, you sometimes have to say goodbye to the taste, too.
But snack brands such as Dreyer?s/Edy?s ice cream, Hershey?s chocolate and Lay?s potato chips are trying to solve this age-old dieter?s dilemma by rolling out mid-calorie goodies that have more fat and calories than the snacks of earlier diet crazes but less than the original versions. They?re following the lead of soda companies such as Pepsi and Dr Pepper that introduced mid-calorie drinks last year.
It?s hard to isolate sales of mid-calorie snacks because they also usually have reduced fat, or other healthy attributes such as reduced sodium. But sales of all foods and drinks in which the amount of things such as fat, sugar, salt, carbohydrates have been actively reduced during production have risen 16 percent to $51.72 billion since 2006, according to research firm Euromonitor International.
The mid-calorie trend is hitting at a time when companies that make sugary and salty treats are being blamed for the country?s expanding waistlines. The problem is that the same things that make snacks taste good ? sugar, salt, calories ? also make them fattening. And many Americans don?t want to sacrifice taste at snack time. Shaving a few calories enables companies to market their cakes, cookies and chips as healthier without the stigma of bad taste that goes along with some low-fat products.
The mid-calorie trend is a toned-down version of the "light" craze that started in the 1990s. Back then, "low fat" or "no fat" was all the rage. But the products often fizzled.
For instance, McDonald?s rolled out the McLean Deluxe, a low-fat burger, in 1991. But the burger, which was made with seaweed, had dismal sales. It disappeared from restaurants within five years.
Similarly, Lay?s in 1998 introduced Wow fat-free potato chips that use fat substitute Olestra. But the ick factor trumped healthiness when the Food and Drug Administration said the chips had to come with a warning that Olestra may cause abdominal cramping, loose stools, and that it inhibits the absorption of some vitamins and other nutrients.
The FDA dropped the requirement for the label in 2004 after studying the matter. The chips were renamed "Light," but sales have not recovered.
The new era of diet food started in the past decade. In 2007, companies began offering 100-calorie packs of popular snacks like Oreos cookies and Twinkies cakes. That?s when brands started putting their focus on reducing calories ? without any flavor change.
story continues below
Reducing a nominal number of calories in your diet each day ? even from that morning coffee run or afternoon visit to the vending machine for chips ? is an effective way to battle obesity, says David Levitsky, professor of nutritional sciences at Cornell University.
But in order for that to work you have to eat the snacks in moderation. "If consumption of ice cream and potato chips does not increase and people eat somewhat better versions, the outcome will be good," Brownell says.
First, companies have to convince dieters that their mid-calorie snacks are not only healthy, but tasty, too.
With that in mind, Hershey?s in June introduced Simple Pleasures, chocolate with 30 percent less fat. A serving size of six pieces equals 180 calories and 8 grams of fat ? that?s 30 calories and 5 grams of fat less than the original Hershey?s chocolate bar. The company is hoping the deficit is enough to lure chocolate lovers who want to eat healthier.
Similarly, Lay?s in July rolled out two new flavors of its Kettle Cooked potato chips with 40 percent less fat. The brand, which fries chips in small batches so as to use less oil than the continuous frying process for regular chips, introduced "Applewood Smoked BBQ" and "Sun-Dried Tomato and Parmesan."
The company says it was able to lower the calories and fat without sacrificing taste. Regular Kettle Cooked chips have 160 calories and 9 grams of fat, while the reduced-fat versions have 130 calories and 6 grams of fat.

By Bill Berkrot
Sept 27 (Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Thursday approved a new drug for advanced colon cancer developed by Bayer AG, a month ahead of the agency's expected action date for a decision.
The drug, to be sold under the brand name Stivarga, was approved to treat colon cancer that has progressed after prior treatment or that has spread to other parts of the body, the agency said.
"Someone has clearly lit a fire under the FDA," Sanford Bernstein analyst Geoffrey Porges said of the speedy approval. "We're seeing a fairly consistent pattern of drugs for high unmet needs diseases being approved on an expedited basis."
Bayer said Stivarga will be ready for distribution as soon as Friday and set a wholesale price for the drug of $9,350 for a 28-day cycle of treatment.
In pivotal clinical trials, Stivarga - known chemically as regorafenib - helped severely ill patients live on average 1.4 months longer than those who received standard treatment without the Bayer drug. Stivarga plus standard care also delayed tumor growth for an average of two months compared with 1.7 months for standard care alone.
Bayer is currently awaiting a colon cancer approval decision for the drug in Europe and is also seeking U.S. approval of regorafenib as a treatment for gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
"Stivarga is the latest colorectal cancer treatment to demonstrate an ability to extend patients' lives and is the second drug approved for patients with colorectal cancer in the past two months," Richard Pazdur, director of the Office of Hematology and Oncology Products in FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said in a statement.
In August, the FDA approved Zaltrap, an advanced colon cancer treatment from Sanofi SA and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc is entitled to a 20 percent royalty payment on global net sales of Stivarga under a settlement agreement with Bayer following a dispute over how closely related the medicine is to Nexavar, the kidney and liver cancer drug that the companies co-developed and share.
Bayer and Onyx will jointly promote Stivarga in the United States.
Porges, Bernstein's biotechnology analyst, called the Onyx royalty agreement, "a fairly attractive deal."
But he said initial sales expectations for Stivarga are relatively modest "because this is really a relatively small indication late in the disease."
However, Morningstar analyst Damien Conover forecast sales of the drug reaching $1 billion by 2020. Bayer declined to provide its own sales forecast for the medicine.
"Bayer has very high expectations for Stivarga," Shannon Campbell, head of oncology for Bayer Healthcare, said in a telephone interview. "We certainly expect that Stivarga is going to play an important role once (patients) have gone through some of the more standard infusion based chemotherapies that are out there."
Stivarga is a pill that works by blocking several enzymes that promote cancer growth.
The drug was reviewed under the FDA's priority review program that provides an expedited six-month review for drugs that offer major advances in treatment or that provide treatment when no adequate therapy exists. A decision had been expected by Oct. 27.
The Stivarga label will include a warning that severe and fatal liver toxicity occurred in some patients treated with the medicine during clinical studies, the FDA said.
In addition to Zaltrap, Stivarga will likely also compete with Roche Holding AG's multibillion-dollar cancer drug Avastin and Erbitux from Bristol-Myers Squibb Co and Eli Lilly and Co.
An estimated 143,460 Americans will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and 51,690 will die from the disease in 2012, according to the National Institutes of Health.
Bayer shares rose 1.3 percent to 68.40 euros in Germany. Onyx shares were up 2.8 percent at $84.85 on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Bill Berkrot in New York; editing by Gerald E. McCormick, Matthew Lewis and Carol Bishopric)

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) ? Zimbabwe state media reports that President Robert Mugabe has assured regional leaders that adoption of a new constitution is on track ahead of proposed elections to end the nation's fragile coalition government.
According to the Herald newspaper Wednesday, Mugabe met South African President Jacob Zuma, the chief regional mediator on Zimbabwe, on the sidelines of the United Nations general assembly in New York.
Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, the former opposition leader, has charged that Mugabe's party has blocked constitutional reforms.
A 15-nation southern African political and economic bloc set constitutional reforms as a condition for free elections.
Mugabe told Zuma that a stakeholders conference on the constitution is set to go ahead in Harare next month and regional leaders "will not be let down."

40 is the new 30? Thirty has also been said to be the same as twenty used to be, and on it goes. The results that can be achieved with cosmetic surgery are absolutely amazing. If you?re at all interested in cosmetic surgery, continue reading this article to learn about cosmetic procedures and discover some great tips.
Although doing plenty of research and advanced preparation is a good thing with cosmetic surgery, you shouldn?t set your heart on exactly what you want done before you speak with a doctor. A qualified professional can provide you with several different options, some you might have never considered. Work with your doctor, and take advantage of expert advice before you decide what you want to have done.
Remember, you will be paying quite a bit for the surgery and you may miss some work as well. You should have money set aside earmarked for any expenses that you occur post procedure. This should reduce stress during your recovery and help you focus on your health.
The decision to undergo any cosmetic surgery procedure should only be made after extensive research. You need to know all relevant information ahead of time, including the risks, complications, and recovery time involved. It is important that you make an informed decision when, considering any sort of procedure.
As with any surgery, there are risks that go along with cosmetic procedures. Make sure you discuss risks with your surgeon so you are aware of what is involved. You should not forget the possible negative consequences of a cosmetic surgery.
Botox is a rather simple procedure, but make sure you go to a licensed cosmetic surgeon. There are people who even have this procedure done at salons. This may save you some money, but can be dangerous to your health and even your life.
Choose only a surgeon who is board-certified by the ASPS so that you know he or she is qualified. Also, make sure he has performed the procedure many times and ask him to show you proof.
If you are on a tight budget, learn about any discounts online. There are more and more websites, for instance Groupon, that offer discounts, especially on eye and lip procedures. Before buying, though, read the coupon from top to bottom. Be sure your procedure is covered by the discount and that you qualify. Oftentimes the discount is for a first-time visitor only, or there is some other restriction.
If you are worried about cost, look for a online discount. An increasing number of websites, such as Groupon, offer discounts, particularly on lip and eye procedures. Read the details on the coupon in full before you buy it. Make sure you are eligible for the coupon. Oftentimes the discount is for a first-time visitor only, or there is some other restriction.
While cosmetic surgery has been around for years, it was never as popular as it is currently. This increase in popularity makes it quite simple to find surgeons, but it is hard to know which ones are reputable. But, with some information, such as what you?ve been provided with in this article, the whole surgery can go just the way you want it to.

NEW YORK (AP) ? A suburban mother of four charged with moonlighting as a multimillion-dollar madam pleaded guilty Tuesday to promoting prostitution.
The Scotland-born Anna Gristina made the plea in Manhattan court. The judge said she'll be sentenced Nov. 20 to time served and probation as part of a plea deal. The judge warned she could also be deported.
She spent four months in jail before being released on $250,000 bond in June.
Prosecutors had said Gristina, who now lives in Monroe, had a roster of wealthy, well-placed clients and boasted of law-enforcement connections during 15 years in a business that made her millions. She had said she was merely starting a dating service.
She had been charged with a single count of promoting prostitution, stemming from a July 2011 tryst that authorities say she arranged involving two women and an undercover officer posing as a client.
Gristina was arrested Feb. 22 as she left a friend's Morgan Stanley office after a fundraising meeting for her business, prosecutors said.
Gristina said in court papers that investigators told her they'd let her go if she gave them information about five men ? not named in her filings, but described as a financier, an international banker and a member of a politically connected family, among others.

Schools have stopped teaching cursive handwriting. That makes sense, of course, as many of us no longer write longhand. But, along with it comes shorthand acronyms ? LOL, WTH,?*$, 2nite, <3, AISI, IMO, OMG ? and they?re all reaching corporate world communications.
Heck, they had to create an entire dictionary on the lingo so those of us who didn?t grow up in the text world know how to understand what?s being said.
But it?s not just affecting the business world. According to BBC News, students are turning in homework completely written in text.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) ? Tens of thousands of Greeks marched through central Athens Wednesday in the first general strike since the country's coalition government was formed in June, as the prime minister and finance minister hammered out a package of ?11.5 billion ($14.87 billion) in spending cuts.
Everyone from shopkeepers and pharmacists to teachers, customs workers and car mechanics joined the demonstration of about 50,000 people in a strike seen as a test of public tolerance for more hardship after two years of harsh spending cuts and tax hikes. Thousands of police deployed across the city center, hoping to prevent the violence that often breaks out during Greek protests.
"People, fight, they're drinking your blood," protesters chanted as they banged drums.
The Greek strike comes a day after clashes with police during anti-austerity demonstrations in Spain left 64 people injured.
Greece's politicians have struggled to come up with more austerity measures that would be acceptable to the country's rescue creditors, with disagreements arising between the three parties that make up the coalition government. The country has been dependent on international rescue loans from other eurozone countries and the International Monetary Fund since mid-2010. Without the loans, Greece would be forced into a chaotic default on its debts and into an exit from the 17-country bloc that uses the euro.
The country's lenders have demanded more fiscal reforms if they are to continue handing out rescue loans. The next payment of ?31 billion hinges on the government agreeing to further cuts.
Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras and Prime Minister Antonis Samaras formulated a deal on the new ?11.5 billion austerity package for 2013-14, along with another ?2 billion in improved tax collection, a finance ministry official said Wednesday morning.
The other two party leaders were to be briefed by Samaras on Thursday, a party official said. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record.
Wednesday's strike shut down the Acropolis, Greece's most famous tourist site, and halted flights for hours. Ferry services were suspended, schools, shops and gas stations were closed and hospitals were functioning on emergency staff.
One of those striking was Athens hospital worker Alkis Betses, who has seen salary fall from ?1,300 to ?800 (($1,680 to $1,035) a month, says new cuts will bring it down to ?600 ($775).
"How can you survive on 600 a month, with ever-rising taxes, and continue to pay bills and buy necessary supplies? If the washing machine breaks down, where do you get the money for repairs?"
Betses said hospitals have been hard hit by spending cuts, with staff shortages and long delays in doctors' overtime pay for night shifts.
"The resentment has been there for long before the new measures. Imagine what will happen when they're made public," he said.

A column of smoke rises over Damascus, Syria, on Wednesday after two bomb blasts were reported.
By NBC News staff and wire reports
UNITED NATIONS -- Arab nations should intervene in Syria given the U.N. Security Council's failure to stop the civil war in the country, Qatari Emir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani said Tuesday.
"The Security Council failed to reach an effective position. In view of this, I think that it is better for the Arab countries themselves to interfere out of their national, humanitarian, political and military duties and do what is necessary to stop the bloodshed in Syria," Sheik Hamad, speaking through an interpreter, said in a U.N. General Assembly speech.
Western powers have made clear they are opposed to direct intervention and the Security Council will not sanction action against the wishes of Russia and China. President Barack Obama on Tuesday?called again for the ouster of Syrian President Bashar Assad?but provided no clear direction forward.
The Syrian conflict grinds on. Cities are under attack leaving them crushed by heavy shelling. NBC's Bill Neely reports.
Sheik Hamad suggested that bypassing the U.N. Security Council would enable a peaceful transition of power in Syria.
"We had a similar precedent when Arab forces intervened in Lebanon in the mid-'70s ... to stop internal fighting there in a step that proved to be effective and useful," he added.

People resisting the army of President Bashar al-Assad in northern Syria cope with loss and prepare for fighting.
Qatar, along with Saudi Arabia and Turkey, strongly supports the mainly Sunni Muslim Syrian rebels, while Shiite Iran backs Assad, whose Alawite minority is an offshoot of Shiite Islam.

Sheik Hamad further urged all countries that believe in the cause of the Syrian people to provide "all sorts of support" to Syrians until they gain legitimate rights.
Activists say that 27,000 people have been killed in Syria's uprising, which began as peaceful demonstrations for reform 18 months ago but turned into an armed insurgency fighting to topple Assad, with sectarian overtones that could drag in regional powers.

An undated handout television grab taken from Iran's state-run news network Press TV shows its correspondent Maya Nasser who was killed in Syria Wednesday.
"The Free Army hit the general staff building in Damascus' Umayyad Square and dozens were killed in the two powerful blasts," the information office for the FSA military council said in a statement. Syria's Information Minister Omran Zoabi had earlier said that the blasts caused only material damage.
Iran's Press TV also said Wednesday that one of its correspondents was killed in Syria covering the twin blasts and gun battles in the Damascus.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) ? Adrian Beltre singled home the winning run in the ninth inning and the Texas Rangers rallied past Oakland 5-4 on Monday night to stretch their AL West lead over the Athletics to five games with nine to play.
Beltre, whose 35th homer tied the score in the seventh, grounded a sharp single through the middle of the infield off Tyson Ross (2-11) in the ninth, bringing home pinch-runner Craig Gentry to end the opener of a four-game series.
The Rangers got the inning started with consecutive singles by Mitch Moreland and Ian Kinsler before Elvis Andrus' sacrifice bunt. Josh Hamilton, who had already hit his major league-best 43rd homer after missing the previous five games with a cornea issue, was intentionally walked to load the bases for Beltre.
Joe Nathan (3-4), the sixth Rangers pitcher, struck out two in the ninth. That included a strikeout of Seth Smith as Stephen Drew was caught stealing to end the inning.
It was the first of seven meetings in the last 10 days of the regular season between the two-time defending American League champion Rangers and A's, who have lost six of seven after winning 17 of their previous 21 games.
Oakland has a two-game lead over the idle Los Angeles Angels for the second AL wild card.
Beltre hit a two-run homer with two outs in the seventh to tie the game at 4, a shot that came with Hamilton on base.
A's rookie right-hander Dan Straily struck out eight and left with a 4-2 lead after 6 2-3 innings with Hamilton due to bat and the bases empty.
Dean Blevins walked Hamilton, the only batter he faced, before Pat Neshek gave up the two-run drive to Beltre.
It was Neshek who allowed Raul Ibanez's tying, two-run homer to cap a four-run 13th inning Saturday by the AL East-leading New York Yankees, who then won on a two-out error in the 14th ? a game that Ross also lost.
Hamilton hit a 441-foot solo homer in the fifth that landed in the second deck of seats high above the Rangers' bullpen in right-center to get Texas within 3-2.
Josh Donaldson and Yoenis Cespedes homered for Oakland, and Cliff Pennington had an RBI single in the sixth.
Donaldson lined a two-run shot deep into the left-field seats in the second off Derek Holland. Cespedes hit a two-out solo homer, his 21st, for a 3-1 lead an inning later.
Holland pitched only three innings, his shortest outing since May 30 when the left-hander gave up eight runs over 1 2-3 innings in the Rangers' 21-8 home loss to Seattle.
The Rangers got an unearned run in the second when Michael Young was hit by a pitch before Donaldson's error at third base. Young scored on Moreland's bloop single that ended a string of 24 consecutive at-bats by the Rangers with runners in scoring position without a hit.
Hamilton's homer was followed by consecutive doubles by Beltre and Nelson Cruz that failed to produce a run. Beltre was picked off second after wandering too far off the base on a pitch in the dirt that catcher Derek Norris quickly recovered.
NOTES: CF Coco Crisp was out of the A's starting lineup for the sixth game in a row because of an infection in both eyes. Manager Bob Melvin said Crisp has seen three doctors but his condition hasn't improved much. ... Holland is 6-0 in 10 September starts the past two seasons. ... After giving up three consecutive extra-base hits in the fifth, Straily retired the last six batters he faced.

For those who work with dating and engaged couples, it may be hard to fathom that any of these blissfully happy couples will eventually divorce and/or become discontented in their relationship.? If you ARE a dating or engaged couple, you may believe that nothing could cause you to question your relationship with your beloved. Yet 40-50% of marriages still end in divorce and, of the marriages that endure, many partners report discontent and unhappiness.? How can such hopeful beginnings go awry???
One factor may be that there is an unbalanced effort into the development stage of a relationship compared to the maintenance of a relationship.? A wedding is a perfect example of the ?getting? vs. ?being? contrast.? How much effort do couples put into getting married, compared to being married?? To the extent that culture reflects (and some would argue, creates) reality, think about the products and services designed around getting married, in contrast to the products and services designed around maintaining marriage.? Couples and their families spend, on average, $20,000 on a wedding and receive an average of 200 wedding gifts, with an average value of $70-100.??
Money is just one expression of value.? Another is time. If you have ever started a relationship, you know that the process of getting connected with someone requires time and effort.? If you have planned a wedding, you know they take a good amount of time and preparation.? Do you invest the same amount and quality of time listening to, learning about, and thinking about your partner as you did when you were getting to know him or her?? If you are in a long-term relationship, is it easy to falsely assume that you know your partner?s feelings and ideas about the many issues in your lives?? What behaviors and attitudes did your relationship benefit from during the ?getting?/developing stages that you can bring into the ?being? stages of your relationship?

Heath Bell made a local radio appearance on ?The Dan Sileo Show? in Miami today and had some not-so-nice things to say about Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen.
?It?s hard to respect a guy that doesn?t tell you the truth or doesn?t tell you face to face,? Bell said on 560-WQAM. ?There?s probably reasons why.?
Bell is upset with how his demotion from the closer role was handled and with his lack of an opportunity to reclaim the job despite pitching fairly well of late:
I stunk in April, plain and simple. I said I stunk, I worked hard, I busted my butt. I think I?ve had a tremendous second half. I?m not closing?I know that. But I just kept my mouth shut because I want to regain what I had, and I feel like I can?t do that. ?
It?s just one of those things that?what you see is what you get. I?m not going to be two-faced. I?m not going to sneak around your back and say this and that.
Ripping someone on the radio doesn?t count as ?around your back? does it? Just double-checking.
Bell?s beef with Guillen is no surprise, as the Showtime cameras captured the two of them having a relatively heated discussion in the manager?s office before ?The Franchise? reality series was canceled earlier this season.
Bell has a 5.19 ERA overall this season, but since being stripped of closing duties in June he?s thrown 26 innings with a 3.12 ERA and 25/7 K/BB ratio. He?s owed $9 million next season and $9 million in 2014, so odds are whether Guillen is still the Marlins? manager or not Bell will get another crack at ninth-inning duties.
I hope Hanley Ramirez and Fredi Gonzalez are getting a good chuckle out of all this, at least.
