Visiting Assistant Professor

Auburn University, Auburn, AL: The School of Accountancy invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position, contingent upon budget, as a Visiting Assistant Professor in accounting starting Fall Semester, 2013.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Successful applicants must possess a doctorate in accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution prior to the date of employment, August 16, 2013. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent communication skills are required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The School seeks candidates with an instructional emphasis in the core area accounting information systems. The courses require strong Excel and Access skills. The successful candidate must be willing to teach 2 to 4 courses per semester. Candidates with a proven record of teaching effectiveness are desired. The chosen faculty member is expected to contribute primarily in instruction with some service and research. Candidates with professional certification are desired.
